Terms of service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Applies from launch. Digital Adept isn't open to the public yet. Items in [square brackets] are filled in once the company's details are final.
1. About these terms
These terms are between Cloud Adept Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 09216333), at Hazlemere, 70 Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire, BL1 4BY(“we”), and the business that signs up for Digital Adept (“you”, the agency). Digital Adept is for businesses only, not consumers. By creating an account you accept these terms on behalf of your business.
2. The service
Digital Adept provides SEO audits, reporting, AI-assisted content and a client portal, as described on our website and in the help guide. We may improve or change features; we won't remove a core feature of your plan during a paid period without giving you notice.
3. Accounts and security
- The person who signs up is the account holder and controls billing, branding and the team.
- Each person needs their own account. Keep your email and authenticator secure; you're responsible for activity under your agency's accounts.
- Tell us at once at support@digitaladept.io if you think an account has been misused.
4. Plans, trial and payment
- New agencies get a 7-day free trial with no card needed. When it ends, choose a plan to carry on.
- Plans are paid monthly or yearly in advance by card through Stripe. Prices are in pounds. We aren't registered for VAT, so none is charged; if that changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before VAT is added.
- Upgrades apply straight away; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part periods unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again; if it still can't be taken, we may pause your account until it is.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Digital Adept to:
- audit, crawl or monitor websites you don't have a legitimate business reason to check, or overload any website;
- break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or send spam through our emails or lead widget;
- try to get round plan limits, security controls or another customer's data, or test our security without written permission;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from Digital Adept.
6. Your data
You own the data you add and the reports you make. You give us permission to use it only to provide the service to you. For your clients' personal data, our data processing agreement forms part of these terms. You're responsible for having the right to add it, and for your clients' agreement to connecting their Google accounts.
7. AI features
AI-written fixes, briefs, articles, summaries and review replies are drafts. Check them before you publish or send them; you're responsible for what you publish. AI search results show what assistants said when we asked: they change over time and aren't a guarantee of rankings.
8. Our intellectual property
Digital Adept, its software, design and content belong to Cloud Adept Limited. Digital Adept™ is an unregistered trade mark of Cloud Adept Limited. These terms give you a right to use the service while you subscribe, nothing more.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep Digital Adept available at all times but can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or by third parties such as Google. Support is by email and through the help page.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- We're not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data you could have backed up, or for indirect losses.
- Otherwise our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
11. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time in Settings, Plan & billing, and close your account from Settings. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or that hasn't paid, after telling you. When an account closes, its data is deleted as our privacy policy describes.
12. General
We may update these terms; we'll email account holders at least 30 days before a change that matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
